      ordered my glide from mikes

gonna have him open up the 350 and see what all went south, if it makes sense i'll have him freshen it up and sell it to recoup some cash.

FWIW, DOM (drawn over mandrel) tubing is a MUST. Do NOT take anything that is NOT DOM on a race car. You'll be picking it up off the ground at some point in time.

You know Mike builds some good stuff when a forum like this (nobody can agree on anything), agrees on a trans guy. Especially a trans guy who lives in BFE and doesn't do the whole "salesman" side of it, when I first started dealing with him it took a while to figure out he wasn't upset or anything, he just doesn't talk more then he has to. Now that I've gotten to know him he I've learned he is a real cool guy, just kinda quiet (opposite of me).

Mike built my Powerglide SEVERAL years ago and it has a ton of passes on it, I pulled it out and took it to him like 2 years ago to freshen it up, he pulled it apart and said it didn't need anything but he would put new clutches and stuff in it if I wanted, but he wouldn't. Ihad him slap it back together and its still going strong.

This is what I keep telling all my blue oval buddy's. Yes there is an initial investment but the maintenance on a glide vs. a C4 is night and day.

A C-4 would never live in my car, I don't care who built it, or what it had in it.

How often do you adjust the low band in yours big shoe? i have heard you should adjust it after the first pass, then adjust it every 15-20 passes after that. this overkill?

Thats funny! Ive never touched it. All I ever do Is change the fluid after it gets torched. Seems like you are waaay over complicating this whole deal. Stick it in there, buy a good driveshaft, and go racing.
