      i counted the turns in/out and it is (and was) set right at 3.5 turns out.

        4 years of hard racing, never had to adjust the band. leave it alone unless you detect a problem

          i did it because it felt like the car was pushing in neutral, i know glides are a little different not having a "true" neutral, but i didn't want to burn it up if the band was way off. i counted the turns in and out and it was set right on the money, 3.5 turns in and it got snug, so i went 3.5 turns back out.

            Just FYI, not saying anyone is wrong, but doesn't hurt to check it (even though obviously lots of folks getting away without checking it)

            checking band adjustment after the first three passes, then readjusting it every 10-12 passes in high hp applications.

                    My Powerglide has hundreds of passes on the, its torched the fluid dozens of times and I've never made any adjustments at all.

                      I have yet to see a powerglide that did NOT do this.
