The battery can last a while like this if the car's electrical systems arent used much. The length of time the battery will sustain ingnition function is dependent on the capacity of the battery, the level of charge at the start, and the amount of accessory electrical use demanded of it.

correct, at first it was, so then i changed the cluster and icr with yours and silverhatch's and it stopped, now its only doing it when i give it gasOriginally posted by Blue88Coupe View PostThe car is idling just fine at 500-600 rpm. Bonnie&Clyde you're hitting the gas to show that the volts are jumping with rpm, its not doing that on its on correct?

It has a custom solid roller cam in it. Idle is gonna be choppyOriginally posted by poopnut2 View PostThe cam shouldn't make it idle like that. It should idle at the normal 8-900 rpms.
OP, getting it tuned and bypassing the o2 sensors might fix it IF that's the problem. I'm just stating from personal experience, my car had a very similar symptom when my o2 sensor went out. As long as the o2 sensors are good, there shouldn't be a need to bypass them. I had a H/C/I car with full exhaust, no cats, and didn't bypass the o2 sensors and it ran like a charm.

im hoping it does, these are brand new sensors so im not sure how they would be bad, but maybe starting the car up without being tuned could have made them gone bad right?? well the shop says they cant tune it with the volts going crazy like this, this is why im trying to figure it outOriginally posted by poopnut2 View PostThe cam shouldn't make it idle like that. Oh, ok. I thought the flux in idle was on it's own. Nevarmindz then.Originally posted by bonnie&clyde View Postcorrect, at first it was, so then i changed the cluster and icr with yours and silverhatch's and it stopped, now its only doing it when i give it gas
Good luck man. You might try to put the stock alternator back on like the good doctor suggested. It's not exactly uncommon to get a bad alternator. I got a bad one last time I swapped one into my explorer. Got another under warranty and worked fine. Again, good luck. Modding cars = fun, fixing cars = PITA.

this is how it goes wired in for the 3g altOriginally posted by Blue88Coupe View PostAnother thing to check maybe is how you have the alternator wired up. The 3g doesnt just hook into the stock wiring harness does it?

the white wire is a regulator and it goes from the center wire on the black D shaped connector, then the two black thick wires from the harness go to the power(i think) in the alt
