No, when I set it up, I didn't have A/C. It rely's solely on the t-stat right now. I need to add an A/C provision now thoughOriginally posted by Baron View Postdoes it turn on with the A/c?

glad to hear it.Originally posted by black2002ls View PostI replaced the whole relay set up today. Everything is back in order. The fans now kick on with the A/C as well

I swapped the relay to verify that wasn't the issue. I am going to go through it again this morning and make sure I didn't miss anythingOriginally posted by garycrist View PostSome of the fan controllers come with relays that are not rated for the current draw some fans require.
I used 70A . relays to prevent melting the relay together and possibly giving you the failure you are chasing.

Dude its really not that complicated of a system and as far is your diode. If it was wired in correctly on your wiper circuit then it will NOT back feed in the wiper motor. If you anywhere near Denton I could help you figure it outOriginally posted by black2002ls View PostSick of screwing around with this, just ordered a DCC controller, going to pick up a Taurus fan on Saturday. That should put an end to all of the issues

I am out in Greenville. Wiring of the controllers hasn't been the issue. The two problems I have are failing components (thermostat on the first one, and aparently the complete controller on the new one in a weeks time). I verified all 12v inputs as well as the ground, all worked as they should but I was not getting any 12v out to the fans. I switched relays and still no go. I pulled all fan connections and tested straight from the battery and they worked fine. All uses in line on 12V fan leads are fine.Originally posted by RuStYpNuS View PostDude its really not that complicated of a system and as far is your diode. The other issue is that the fan shroud doesn't mate up like it should with the radiator. It was fine when I wasn't running A/C. Now that the A/C is working again, I need a fan that fits the radiator. I figured I am replacing the controller anyway so I spent a little more money for a controller that will operate the dual speed Taurus fan.

I have had great results with the Flex-A-Lite 33054 variable speed controller and dual contour fans. Well worth the $100 and time spent wiring up a dependable system. I've used this setup on half a dozen different vehicles, zero issues.
For a dual speed fan, just wire up on the high circuit. The controller will do the rest.
