rip out the dohc, modify the 4.6 mounts, put an lq9 in there w/a t56 and a healthy cam package, sell your motor/trans, come out of the deal for around the same money and make mid 400 rwhp with a lighter motor that you won't be afraid to work on (i.e. i can replace a head gasket in my swap mustang in 2hr), gets better mpg, 6 gears, and would murder the charged dohc.

(this is coming from someone who owns a lq9 mustang and a black 97 dohc cobra just like yours btw)
