will you come listen to some engines for my customers and tune them up for me?Originally posted by majorownage View PostAfr gauges are notoriously unaccurate. There was a good article written by Bosch engineers that explained... I'll have to dig it up.
Reading Plugs and listening by ear are the only way to go.
If its the stock factory tune, don't even think about sweating it.

Nothing like that at all, I just wonder why some people worry about the warranty and some don't. I bought mine to have fun with, and daily drive, and not worry about the warranty. If it breaks, and Ford doesn't cover it, it will come out of my pocket. She's going to True Street for the next round of mods, I'm shooting for low to mid 11's on motor. And hoping it doesn't break!Originally posted by 46Tbird View PostYou've said that twice now, are you insinuating I don't want to void my warranty because I'm broke? lol
I'm okay with being slow!
I'm not a whole lot slower than you.

Already have the MT82 whine and it doesn't bother me a bit. T56 is locked and loaded for when this POS dies. And why would I cry? I chose to do the mods. Like I said, you can either afford to play or you can't. No biggie.Originally posted by Denny View PostAnd you'd be the first to cry with the bill from a broken tranny.
Besides, if it does break, I always have this to drive while we're fixing it -

Trashing the warranty just to gain 10hp in my daily driver = not a great idea.
Have you tuned one of these yet Sam?Originally posted by Sam88gta1 View PostThe numbers are high because its in STD not SAE correction. SAE in this type of weather is 2-4% lower than STD.

Buncha lightweights worrying about the warranty. You pays your monies and you takes your chances. Either you can afford to play, or you can't!

That's gonna be a hellova car!Originally posted by Rick Modena View PostI feel the same way, I'm going to let the warranty expire before I do any mods. I had an 02 Lightning that ate a transmission and it cost me a couple of thousand dollars. I want to hear no excuses from Ford if something goes wrong with my new GT. Once the warranty expires, KB LC blower, LT, full exhaust and then we see whats up crackers!

No, it doesn't. It reads normal. Dynojet on SAE, smoothing 5 is pretty much industry standard. The only people that say they read high are people that use mustang dynos, because they read lower usually.Originally posted by Cobraman View Postdyno jet reads high though.
