Omg, grip is not obtained through gearing, gearing limits torque transfer so you don't overload the tires, grip doesn't change. Suspension systems are designed to maximize tire contact patch, hence my previous statement.

I will let you two argue this out while I continue to drink in some Makers.

So if grip keeps the tires from slipping, and gearing increases grip, can I just install a transmission with better "gearing" and turn my minivan into a lotus? Nope. But better tires and a suspension that OTIMIZES tire contact patch WILL improve the lateral grip and the acceleration.

Ok, go get 5.30 gears, and a 4:1 first gear. Put 10.5w tires.

Find an engine that makes 1,000hp and see how hard it Is not to spin. If you grip something will break.

And outlaw 10.5 tired cars go fast because the gearing is optimized to the contact patch of the TIRE. The tires contact patch is further enhanced by a suspension system that is close to the commercial engineering limit for that type of car with that type of suspension.

German engineering has always been one of the best. The BMW m5 has a f1 inspired v10 making 500hp on factory tune. They can almost go 200mph.

You're trying to say porches are one of the best performing cars in the world? LOL

Mercedes are spot on with class and all out performance. They make a car with over 800lbft of torque. Haha ya I'm an idiot.

SLR, AMG, M3 GTR and porche GT3 turbo. Whatcha got?

The only other car manufactor that has the ability to surpass them is Ferarri.

If you don't agree with me turn on the tv, flip it to speed and see who wins races. The corvette c6r gives them a rumble their money and are fast as shit.
                    Lmao

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

So gearing does play a role in traction!?

I agree, you are an idiot. They don't make GT3 turbos. I've never seen a SLR actually driving but I wouldn't be scurred to blow it's doors off... Hell I pulled a SL55 to 140 plus in the slowest Vette in the family... A stock ls2 auto car. I ran a modded new M3 and pulled him so bad he thought I had a zo6.. Was about 10 lengths at 180 plus... Lol

What u meant to say is if u drive a stock slow fucken car, don't race a Kraut Burner... That makes more sense for you and Jason.
