Do you work in/for nascar or a team? If so... please educate me on how it works. I dont claim to know every aspect of the system. I was merely saying that it is not up to the driver to find the sponsor for his ride. I know that for a fact.Originally posted by Grape View Postyou really don't know how this sport works do you?

That win at Darlington was pretty sweet to see. Expecially when their shop is in Denver, Colorado. They do have an alliance with RCR so I bet that helps too. Heck they ran pretty good a couple of times last year. Started 5th and finished 7th in the Daytona 500. Finished 8th at the Coca Cola 600. 3rd at the Brickyard 400.Originally posted by Lone Sailor View PostYep, that's why the start and park has become so popular. Start a race, race a handful of laps, then park it and save the equipment for the next race. Keep doing that until you can afford some better engines, chassis, etc, and then they start getting a little more competitve. Just look at Furniture Row Racing, perfect example of what happens when you do it right.

because the pay scale doesn't pay to be competitive, it pays to get in the race.....Originally posted by T-TOPPS5.0 View PostI dont know why some low funded teams try to run more than one cup car anyway. They should save their resources and focus on getting one car competitive IMO.

you really don't know how this sport works do you?Originally posted by T-TOPPS5.0 View PostIm sure you already know this, but its not up to the driver to find a sponsor. Its up to the owners and the people who handle the business/PR side of things. And with his reputation of embarassing his team(sponsors) with his tantrums... not to many big time sponsors will want to take a chance on him representing their banner.

I never said Hendrick equipment was junk, but what Finch's crew does with the engine and chassis once they get it is on them, not on Hendrick Motorsports.Originally posted by 80coupe View PostHendricks cars and engines a far from junk. but i do see what your saying will just have to see what happens.

James Finch's cars have 1 win and 3 top 5 finished in 191 starts since 1990. I'm not saying Busch isn't a better wheelman, but if they had that good of equippment and funding they would have had a much better wheelman in the car by now.
