Me and a buddy of mine split a boomstick at one of the Tampa games. I'm a big guy, and half of one filled me up for the rest of the night. They're pretty damn tasty too.

There's nothing to love about that. It absolutely wasn't any quicker in that case (most likely much slower given the slow pace and having to scoop it off the dirt) and it puts the margin of error at zero. It's a dumb play.

I've only seen Elvis not get an out with the flip one time. That's just as good a percentage as trying to switch hands and throw it. Plus it eliminates an extra step. I'm sure he practices that flip constantly, so as long as he continues to complete it at a high percentage it's fine with me.

That was nice, along with Moreland and Andrus. There just aren't too many holes in that line-up right now. It's painful to watch Beltre running into third, when someone healthy would have been crossing the plate, but I guess his bat is more important than his base-running.
