If a pitcher actually throws a strike to hamilton, he's an idiot. Anybody can figure out that all you have to do is throw it down and away, hell throw it a foot outside the strike zone and hambone will throw the bat at it. I wonder if hammy is even watching the reels and noticing that he's just swinging at anything, doesnt even look like he expects to make contact. I dont really care at this point, but he needs to get his shit together within a month or so.

The second game CJ Wilson pitched against Texas, he struck out Hamilton twice with breaking balls low and away. He would've gotten him a third time if he hadn't missed with the same pitch high and inside; Hamilton made him pay for it.Originally posted by tribaltalon View PostIf a pitcher actually throws a strike to hamilton, he's an idiot.Originally posted by BroncojohnnyHOORAY ME and FUCK YOU!

I don't hate the douche, I just wish he weren't such a douche and/or had signed with Texas.Originally posted by Slowhand View PostColby Lewis out for the season with a forearm ligament tear. I don't really care either way. We'd be getting him for 3 seasons, he's been pitching great, and we need starting pitching. Hamels is apparently going to sign a deal with Philly, Greinke has a durability question mark right now, and Dempster is apparently off the market as well. For being a longshot/last resort, Cliff Lee has pitched damned well this year.Originally posted by Nash B. Heard an interesting tidbit on the Ticket today that suggested that CJ Wilson may have had a pretty big influence on him coming back here; apparently he wasn't much of a fan to a fairly large degree. There was a lot going on in his decision to sign with Philly, including the whole sick kid thing, so I never harbored much hate to begin with. The need for pitching overrules the whole damned thing.

It wasn't about him not coming back, it was about him not acknowledging that he was a part of the Rangers. Every time he spoke about the team, he referred to it as "they" or "them" and never as "we" or "us" until after the World Series.Originally posted by BroncojohnnyHOORAY ME and FUCK YOU!

Supposedly 3B is something the Phillies really want, so you gotta figure any deal for Lee or Hamels will probably cost at least Mike Olt, and probably Martin Perez or Feliz. Atleast Lee would not be a rental player.Originally posted by Slowhand View PostWhich brings me to a couple of questions:
1. How much are the Phillies going to want for Lee?
2. How much do we give up for Lee, or any of the aforementioned arms?

Meh. He apparently wasn't averse enough to the Rangers to put them on his 21-team no-trade list. Hopefully the fact that he'd have to be here long term would shape his perspective some. Don't have much choice either way, I think a move HAS to be made now.Originally posted by Nash B. I agree, I think either Grienke, Hamels, or Lee will be coming to Texas. No idea which one though.Originally posted by Slowhand View PostMeh. Can't give up Olt for a rental. Yes, he's at a bit of a dead-end here and will be older by the time Beltre vacates third, but not for a rental; Olt has to be saved unless it's for a long-term player.Originally posted by GTBrian23 View PostSupposedly 3B is something the Phillies really want, so you gotta figure any deal for Lee or Hamels will probably cost at least Mike Olt, and probably Martin Perez or Feliz. Did just run across a few people mentioning Felix Hernandez. Very unlikely (very, very, very), but that'd be panty-wettingly good.

Yes that would make me very happy haha. I agree on not spending Olt on a rental, but I think it is going to happen. More than likely Hamels is gonna get signed by Philly, so I think that Lee is gonna be the best option available(excluding King Felix of course) and we would get a few years outta the deal.Originally posted by Slowhand View PostCan't give up Olt for a rental.
