Top 4 look very tight. I wouldn't mind if Felipe Massa wins tomorrow being at his home track.

Rumor has it Alonso had signed a deal with McLaren that is 2 years with an option for 3rd. Contract is suppose to be the highest in F1 history. Going to guess 50 Million a year.

Makes you wonder how haas will turn out. I kinda wish he just would have put money into expanding indy.

But seriously. ..the first investor in a cosworth V8 open aero team will have the best chance at winning a new fan base.

caterham is doing some crowd funding shit.

if this was marussia doing it, i would have paid for drivers gloves or barge boards.
caterham is going to dissolve at the end of the year anyway so this 2 million pound they are trying to raise doesn't help so much.

It sucks because they were the backmarker team actually improving. Imagine if they had merc power this year...

yea, such a bummer. i would have thought the almost guaranteed 40m for 9th place would have let investors let this linger and allow them to run in abu double.

    now bianchi's points mean nothing.

Well f1 is a Little more dead to me. Marussia is gone

    http://m.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/318...ade-redundant/

13:14 – Marussia's administrators, FRP Advisory, confirmed on Friday that the Formula 1 team has ceased trading and all employees will be made redundant, following unsuccessful discussions with potential investors.

Marussia entered administration last month but had hoped to return to the grid for the Abu Dhabi season finale, having skipped the United States and Brazilian Grands Prix.

However, the deadline to find a new backer has passed, leading to the Banbury-based team being wound up and the loss of 200 jobs.

"It goes without saying that it's deeply regrettable that a business with such a great following in Britain and worldwide has had to cease trading and close its doors," said Geoff Rowley, Joint Administrator at FRP.

"Whilst the team made significant progress during its relatively short period of operation, operating a F1 team requires significant ongoing investment.

"The group was put into administration last month following a shortfall in on-going funding and the administration process provided a moratorium to allow for attempts to secure a long term viable solution for the company within in a very limited time-frame.

"Sadly no solution could be achieved to allow for the business to continue in its current form. We would like to thank all the staff for their support during this difficult process."

Marussia began life as Virgin Racing in 2010 with the backing of businessman Richard Branson, before being bought out by Russian billionaire Andrey Cheglakov.

The outfit's final race was the Russian Grand Prix, where it fielded one car for Max Chilton after Jules Bianchi's serious crash at the Japanese Grand Prix.

Bianchi, who scored Marussia's first and only points at the Monaco Grand Prix earlier this season, remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

I thought it was a decent race. Suprised to see Ricciardo get 3rd and out pace the Williams duo. The battle between Alonso and Button was a nice one. The closing lap battles with Vergne, Grosham, Maldonaldo, and I think Mags was also good. Nice pass byt Hamilton on Rosberg, kinda the same move he did on Vettel in 2012 on the back stretch.

I hope next year is more competitive. Willliams makes some improvements, Red Bull and Ferrari as well. Be nice if 2015 would be as competitve as 2010 or 2012.

most of the display model cars they bring out are a few years old. shell had a 2010 ferrari in their booth. i saw a williams with last years setup but this years paint but i saw a current one as well. the noses are fine in the sense that they dont effect the racing, but GD i hate them. when i take a pic of the non moving cars, it simply looks terrible up front and it just doesn't have to be.

i think the level of competition is going to be much better next year. mercedes is reluctantly willing to "unfreeze" the power units but even despite that renault (rbr) and ferrari should be stepping it up. honda is a wild card.

i fully expect rbr will be challenging for race wins again next year and i hope williams makes improvements in aero/grip and tires. i hope those 3 teams can have a close battle. derrari and mclaren are morons so they can go fuck themselves.
