So yeah, he will get some money if they force him to sell. He does still own the team and he does still have rights as a human. Cant force him to walk away and I do think they should have just let him keep ownership as it would add more prospects to the pool (not wanting to sign with the Clippers).

This is outrageous. I'm going to protest by never watching another NBA game..

You're grasping at straws man. Couldn't be further from the truth. In a predominantly black league, there's no place for a guy like him. I wouldn't have minded if the league let him keep the team. It'd probably be a bigger punishment if he didn't have to sell now that I think about it. He wouldn't be able to recruit players to play for his team. They'd be cellar dwellars like they were for years. Then the value of the team would plummet. Hit his bottom line far more than the 2.5M fine that NBA levied. Maybe then, the team would re-locate. I hear Seattle is looking for a team.

I agree with you here. First thing I would do, is pay the measly 5~10k and get his ex-gf dealt with. I mean, even the coaches and players knew he was a racist prick. It wasn't a big deal until the media made it a big deal.

It's not illegal. It just doesn't represent the views of the league according to Silver. And yeah, I agree, Sterling had the right to say what he said...private or public. You just have to be prepared to accept the consequences of your actions. In this case, I think if Sterling showed up to an NBA game, he'd probably get beat down by some brothas.
