Beltran is an upgrade over no one in the outfield. He is and should stay only a DH. Maybe a start in outfield if someone needs a day off. Beltran is below average anywhere on defense.

Beltran will pay off in the lineup. Having both him and Lucroy makes our lineup more balanced. Plus Beltran is a very good postseason batter through his career

Cool, he's having one heck of a season. Tate was our #5 prospect but we spent our 4th overall pick last year to get him. Beltran is definitely an upgrade over DeShields in center. This is his walk year though.

Yeah so we got a pretty solid late inning reliever, a likely future HOF center fielder and one of the best catchers in the game. Without giving up Profar, Gallo or Mazara. Not a bad day.
