Gates, his dad, and I played last year (or maybe year before) in a scramble at Fossil Creek (his home course). We won with a -15 or -16. We sank EVERYTHING, but of course "we were cheating" if you asked anyone in attendance.

I won a scramle at Iron Horse at -18 a few weeks ago. THey played us from the white tees and all the guys on my team can bomb the ball. We played every par 4 from on the green or within 50 yards of it. We sunk some ridiculous putts. Made 2 Eagles, 2 pars, and 14 birdies.

We usually shoot 8-12 under as a team, we just hit putts that day and played great. The next tourney there we shot -11. Sometimes the putts go in, but everyone of course called us cheaters. Then the team behind us stood up and said they saw our driving a par 4 Eagle and the par 5 Eagle to follow it up, that shut everyone up.

I predict my team for this event to be LUCKY to hit 6 over par. NO offense to my bro Skip and his woman, but we are basically playing my score tomorrow with a few helping hits from Cody

LOL...I have played once since the last time I played you at Clicks! It's one of those hobbies that has been put on the back burner since I dont know anyone here in Houston that plays pool. But I can bring my stick if you want to play some Saturday night.

Yeah, 13 birdies and 5 eagles in 25-30mph winds would be pretty much the best round ever. There were a lot of grumblings from the crowd, but the prize wasn't much - a few rounds and a couple dozen callaways - so there were no fisticuffs in the parking lot.

That's why most larger scrambles dont give large prizes for the winning teams...most of the nicer prizes are door prizes and raffles.

Yup...if you win a scramble, you are a cheater. At least in the eyes of the rest of the competitors. They are just mad that their cheat score didnt beat your real score.

There was a team that turned in a 49 on their card at the Westridge tourney two weeks ago. I have no doubts that a DFWM team could beat that... at least on paper.
