Offset club heads help players move the COG back, which increases the trajectory of the shot... I have no problems getting the ball sky high.

Offset helps to allow the club to close down for higher handicap golfers who swing too fast with their arms and leave the face open... My miss is a hook. 'nuff said.

Large cavity backs help increase MOI to give a larger sweet spot on mishits... It also kills feel of the shot. Rather than play with a built-in crutch that enables my game to stagnate because hitting the ball all over the face produces similar distances, I'd prefer learning to hit the ball better.

Larger iron heads "give golfers confidence"... I think they're fucking ugly and don't want to play a gaudy nasty cast cavity back with a 1/2" wide top line that feels like I'm using a spatula on a stick to hit the ball.

Like I said, you have the potential to be a good golfer if you would one, drop the ego and "I know that" attitude, and two, get some irons more suited for your ability. You will drop 5-7 strokes by just changing to some Ping G15s.

He text'd me last night and got his number, maybe he's going to. Gates is good, no doubt - but he's not a good teacher. If Don wants lessons, he needs to get with Gate's dad. HE is a teacher, for sure! (he was a pro/instructor for years)
