I agree me and my wife tried that market fresh and it was great . I didn't care much for the black bean and salsa I just got recently but Im just not a huge fan of corn and that shit was loaded with it

Left my fucking wallet at home today. I was going to stop in at the grocery store on the way home and pick up some stuff for salsa. I recently acquired a ghost pepper and a scorpion pepper. Kinda curious as to how hot those motherfuckers will make it.

I've bought just about every salsa out there, Central market has a good selection. I really like some the Archer Farms stuff at Target. The Habenaro one is good and also the roasted pepper and chipolte one.

Herdez has been my favorite for years and mostly because I think its the least soupy of store bought. Its always chunky and you can see the peppers and onions and it sticks to the chips, not all running off. Also it doesn't have any of that "sweet" taste some of these other salsas have.

I don't hate it, but it's not my preferred type. The stuff kept in the cooled sections do have a more "fresh" taste, which is always a plus for me. As for bottled stuff on the shelves, Joe T's is really good stuff.

So, I just tried the Garden Fresh salsa Jack's Special Hot (could only find this brand at Kroger) and it was ok. It had too much sweetness for my liking. I really need to find their Roasted Garlic & Green Onion offering. From all the recommendations here, the WalMart Chipotle Garlic is the my favorite of the bunch. My rankings, so far, if anyone gives a shit:

    1. WalMart Chipotle Garlic
    2. Garden Fresh Jack's Special Hot
    3. Joe T's Hot
    4. El Fenix

I'm going to try the Target stuff, Clint's, & Hell On The Red next.

    Damn, I miss Joe T's

CA markets have less than 1/2 the salsa selections as TX. I can't believe it.
