Most folks on this board hate the idea of SS because it is a ponzi scheme. However that doesn't change the fact that there are A HUGE number of seniors in this country that are dependent on it..

But I'll go one step further. Seniors are DEPENDENT on our government. The President just threatened every senior citizen in this country if he doesn't get his way. This is the biggest reason why we must begin a phase out of SS.

how bout easing some restrictions on businesses, especially small business, get rid of some of the red tape and regulations. and why not get the trade treaties done?

Like what? How hard is it to hire a guy? Seriously? Or are you talking about cutting your tax bill as a business? Well, if you are looking to cut taxes, you MUST cut spending. The republicans are doing the right thing and taking a HUGE step back and dealing with the REAL problem at hand. Too much spending. Cut the spending, taxes won't have to be raised. Cut the spending long enough and deep enough....taxes could actually go down.

You keep asking for a "jobs bill" but what the fuck is that? Do you want dumbass to give you cash to hire someone with a law? Too many fucking people standing around with their hands out wanting something for nothing.

I still say we need 20% tariffs on EVERYTHING that comes into the US that is already produced here. That's the point of a tariff, to protect our industrial machine. The problem is rich bastards chased profit and cash instead of keeping our manufacturing base strong. At some point, we won't be producing anything and we will default on all that Chinese Debt. They could put an embargo on us and we are FUKT because we would have to re-mobilize our industrial complex and not have any borrowing capacity to rebuild. Only choice at that point is for US to fire the first shot.

Was passed for show? They did what they were sent to do. And federal government is supposed to do very little. 18 things as a matter of fact. They also stabilized the tax code for another year which helped businesses.
