I'm talking about the final judgement. When everyone throughout history will be judged. No one goes to heaven or hell when they die. That is reserved for later.

Sounds pretty needy. Don't get why something with so much power and knowledge would have such a big inferiority complex.

Not really. It is only fair to allow each person the right to make the proclamation that will finalize their eternal status. God didn't have to give us free will. He did because He loves us and allows us to decide everything for ourselves.

Confessing confuses me. If God is all knowing and all seeing but still needs to hear about it all over again he must really like reruns.

Just because He knows, doesn't mean He doesn't need to hear it from you. What would you ask forgiveness from if you never confessed that you were sinful and unclean?

And in this instance, He knows He is God, but your confession of it either validates that you recognize and worship Him or you understand why you're about to be thrown into the pit. Either way, everyone will confess that He is God.
