The only violence is against the ones carrying out the act of killing the babies, nothing more, nothing less. Personally, I would be against it with or without Christ in my life. How do I know this? There was a time when I didn't accept Jesus as my Savior and the feeling about abortion was still the same.

ONCE AGAIN, for those who seem to have either limited comprehension abilities or just flat out refuse to acknowledge the difference... There IS a difference in taking action to defend the senseless slaughter of innocent babies vs. killing and terrorizing people by the masses just because they don't share the same beliefs.
So... you think that attacking and killing people at abortion clinics is ok?

Why do you feel that you have to ask the question in such an asinine and accusatory fashion?

Because he seemed to make his stance fairly clear... I am just asking for verification. He's already said that he doesn't see it to be as "bad" as what we view to be "conventional terrorism." I view both scenarios as a form of terrorism, and apparently he does not.

I'm saying the comparison they are trying to make is not the same. Don't worry about me and try to stick to the subject at hand. That's how smart people figure things out. Anything else is just distracting.

Point made: Islamic jihad ≠ Abortion clinic bombings.

          Case closed.

Dennis. They look at our invasion of their land as the exact same scenario, and possibly rightly so. How much "collateral damage" have our smart bombs and missles caused over there? How many helpless civilians have we inadvertantly killed? The door swings both ways, brother.

So now we're adding ANOTHER scenario to this? What does this have to do with what we were originally talking about? FIrst it was argued that Islamic terrorism is the same as Christianity. Once that was proven false, then we talk about "well, Christianity of the past." After that didn't have anything to do with jack shit that is CURRENTLY going on, we talk about the bombing of abortion clinics. After I break down the reasoning as defending the defenseless and the violent acts limited to those directly linked to carrying out the innocent bloodshed, we talk about my personal preference, which again, has nothing to do with the facts.

So now we have to talk about this government's action compared to terrorism and its similarities with collateral damage compared to targeted civilian lives? What does that have to do with Christianity? This country hasn't done shit in the name of Christ in almost forever.

I give up... you geniuses MUST be too smart for me. I can't even follow your logic, let alone your arguments. LOL

God and Allah are not the same..... they aren't even close. They are diametrically opposed.

You'll find the Quran even instructs Muslims to lie to non believers. They are outright told to deceive. It's where the entire "religion of peace" argument generates from. What about Egypt today makes you think it is a religion of peace? Or Iraq? Or Iran, or Afganistan? Does that look like peace to you?
The patriarch to whom I referred was Abraham (formerly known as Abram), whose sons Isaac and Ishmael were the forebears of Judaism and Islam. Thus, Judaism and Islam do indeed share a common patriarch, or ancestor. That is no "lie of Islam" as you term it, rather it is recorded as such in the Old Testament Book of Genesis, which itself is part of the Hebrew Torah.

I haven't been arguing the religion angle at all. I'm just looking at it from their perspective, as wrong and flawed as that perspective may be, and as wrong and flawed as our own perspectives may be. I don't think the entire situation is as simply black and white as "Americans are infidels so we must kill them," or "All muslims are terrorists, we should just kill them all." Perhaps if the original post of the thread wasn't such a retarded grasp at sensationalism everyone could keep up with the discussion without getting frustrated.

Wouldn't that be so much easier? I bet it'd be over a lot faster.

LOL @ the comment about the OP.

                        • if you dont think christians are as fucked up as muslims, then pay a visit to northern ireland. I went there while in college as part of some quasi peace mission thing (my thoughts being red heads and guiness, and at that time you didnt hear much about the violence). as soon as we got off the plane we had a military escort, first thing they told us was. do not tell anyone what religion you may be, because it might mean your life.

the people that lived there were taught by their parents, teachers, and religious leaders to hate, hurt and even kill those of the other religion. we heard a mother speak who was so proud of her son, a 17 white protestant boy, who walked into a catholic school and blew himself up, and his dad was killed in a catholic bomb blast. its an endless cycle.

That's because they, just like extremist Muslims who follow bitter old mullahs like sheep, willingly allow their religious stands to be dictated to them by men with their own agendas instead of following what God Himself wants.

So, we're not on worldwide terrorism again? Now we're talking about groups of people consolidated on a little island? Fuck, I'm having trouble keeping up anymore.

It's not only that. The roots of hatred lies with the British government. Seems Cannonball996 didn't know that or just conveniently left that out.
