Emergency vehicles can operate contrary to the law.

He can park that thing sideways on the tollway and it is perfectly legal.

i didn't say he was going 70. i said he was speeding. technically, the speed limit was 50 in that circumstance. he appears to be going faster than the flow of traffic and then obviously disappeared. it's nothing a good traffic attorney can't take care of, but it's odd crying foul about it after seeing the video. some people just like to feel as if they are always slighted by the police and want a sympathetic ear.

I always think its funny when people get a ticket and come here to bitch about it looking for ways out.

Go get a lawyer. The only person you need to convince is THE JUDGE.

I'm going to disagree. You immediately tell that he's traveling faster than the rest of the traffic and then he steps on it.

Guilty until proven innocent. Probably cause FTW. He doesn't have to prove that he was going under 50, the officer has to prove he was.

You say, "would you look at that; just look at it!"

If that was a citable offense this entire website would fill the gap in DPDs budget for the next ten years.

You were back on the gas before you even cleared the cop and the vehicle he had stopped. No reason to be. Guilty.

watched it yesterday and it looked pretty obvious he was in the wrong. (I think because I didn't know exactly when he would show in the frame and as fast as he was there, he was gone.) watched it again today, and it is quite the opposite. He's only crime; having a nice good, sounding car that apparantly merits a cop driving like a mad man to write a ticket.
