You guys are drunk if you think traffic in the video was moving anywhere near 50 mph.

I could tell watching that vid that traffic was really slow. That is why I would have dismissed it. Looks like traffic was already slower than required, and he is obviously trying to get over, on top of it. He is guilty of driving a Corvette. Don't care if he is a jackass or not. If that was a citable offense this entire website would fill the gap in DPDs budget for the next ten years.

Bottom line is that you jumped on it after passing him and had the bad luck that he was clearing that stop when you did it. He no doubt took it as a challenge, and you lost.
All the traffic was below 50mph. I know it's hard to tell on the video, but traffic was very slow through there due to the heavy volume and the onlooker slowdown. I'm sure there is a scientific way to evaluate speed based on the hash marks, but it really shouldn't matter as the cop didn't radar me, so how does he know I was going over 50mph? He doesn't, which is why I think the citation won't hold up in court. I guess we will see though.

Speeding at the beginning of the video or whiling the cop was chasing him?

Look at the white suburban at 42 and the suv two cars back at 40. Those were in front of and behind him when he passed. It took almost a full minute after we see those two again for the cop to catch him.

It doesn't matter at all anyway since my citation allegedly happened within the first 5 seconds of the video when "I blew past him". <--- those were the troopers words when he pulled me over.
In looking at the video you were in an open spot and could have pulled an asshole move to go all the way in. That said I would have probably thought that was far enough over too.

Why does the cop have music playing? I guess that is why cops are so damn slow to crime scenes cause they can't hear the dispatch radio. I would for sure point that out to the judge once you lose this case.

That tape justifys the officers citation and you will likely get full charge in court. Your better off not fighting this and just paying.

Your lawyer will probably be able to get you out of it. But at the end of the day you had to spend a little money because you acted like an ass. Carry on!
I fail to see how he was driving like an asshole past the cop...He slowed down, tried to get over then got back on it after he was passed the cop. I fail to see why he was ticketed.

I do agree that he was hauling balls after getting past the cop but that is not what is at question at this point.

Another thing I hate is when cops pick the busiest fucking area to decide to pull people over. This does nothing more than cause more problems as dip shits love slamming on there brakes when they see a cop or like to slow down 20 under even if they are in the outside lane.
