    Lol, I've never heard this. We must have ruined a bunch of Corvettes when we painted them at the Chevy house. We sprayed the same paint on the Vettes and Cavaliers.

    I didn't say you were a car wash guy. You said ask any detailer... and I just responded that I do not need to consult with the car wash about auto paint.

    Ask any detailer who knows a thing or two about paint correction (as you said) and they will also tell you not to use dawn dishwasher detergent on paint.

    I thought all the corvette guys freaked out when you took the orange peel out of their paint.
