I guess the point of open carry is that it's a bit of a deterrent for criminals, but open carrying a big gun seems excessive unless you're in Detroit or south Dallas or something.

Officers should be questioned, instead of being allowed to trample on your rights.

Call it age, education, whatever, but the older I get, the less I respect police (and authority in general) and feel they are really ineffective, on a grand scale.

Typically an increase in police force does not have a similar decrease in crime rates.

I am pro carry. But to carry and not do what the officer says without question, leads to this type of stuff. If he would have simply complied, I bet he would have walked away with his guns. Getting confrontational with an officer wins you some special prizes.
