If you take away rights of any kind from anyone, you simply create problems. Is it common to see someone OC'ing an AR-15? No. Should we sound the alarms and have squad cars swarm the area, launch a chopper, and call in SWAT to stop the guy who is OC'ing one? Absolutely not. The guy wasn't a threat, wasn't showing aggressiveness, and was bothering absolutely no one while exercising his right to carry on a hike. Had he been OC'ing by the mall and moving through the parking lot in a tactical manner as if he were going to attack the place, then by all means shoot him. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Simply OC'ing on a hike in a rural area isn't playing a stupid game.
