I forget the judge who wrote it, but basically he said to illustrate how absurd a restriction on the second amendment is, just apply it to the first amendment....

According to the YouTube link, no judge in Bell County would touch the case, so they brought in a retired judge from Houston, and he heard the case. Jury convicted him because "self defense" was not allowed to be considered by the jury.
