Look, I'll be one of the first FTPers when I see some bullshit, but I can't do that in this incident. Rodney's heart is bleeding too much black and CJ doesn't understand levels of force. I can't do anything more here.

When we would get kids who would refuse to comply or were too combative we asked for assistance from other counselors to initiate a lying basket restraint or four point restraint. If none were available we would hold their wrists until someone was free. It did not matter their size. We did not scream and try to throw them to the ground. We would have been charged with assault if we did so, as some counselors were.

He said that he bit his lip when he fell to the ground.
It amazes me that a middle age cop with all that gear on can catch a young, athletic person n foot.

Usually not into the blaze articles much, but this one does an okay job so far. (about 1/2 way through it.)
This may summarize it best....
I don’t like watching a teenage girl get thrown to the sidewalk, either, but of all the hand-wringing over it, nobody has suggested what else an officer is supposed to do when a person — teenage girl or otherwise — refuses to comply. Just let them walk away? Keep asking nicely? Tickle them into submission?
