So would it help to go a little thicker on shock oils to stiffen it up a little and keep it from rolling as much? Or maybe leaning the shocks over...farther out on the arm and inside hole on the tower???

That would help but not cure it. There is a small whoops section on the track. If you stiffen it up a lot the truck will bounce every which way through them and be very unpredictable. Me and slovanova set our 2wds up pretty soft and they go through them like they aren't even there.Originally posted by 1carcrazyguy View PostSo would it help to go a little thicker on shock oils to stiffen it up a little and keep it from rolling as much? If you are planning to join the Mike's Hobby Shop indoor crowd, don't get a nitro. Only place to run those indoor in the DFW area is at Indy RC in Garland. Mike's Hobby Shop does have a larger outdoor track for nitro vehicles but I don't think they have a regular race program currently going for nitro cars/trucks right now. Also there is a track in Granbury that is open for practice. It is an outdoor track so nitro vehicles are welcome.Originally posted by johnstonad View PostI will going to nitro r/c. I will join you on it.

IMO, lipos are the only way to go! I run a 1/8 buggy on 4s 30c 4500mah and can run it for 15-20 minutes, no problem. When I had a 1/10 2wd truck I could get about 20-25 minutes on a 2s 30c 5000mah.Originally posted by jw33 View PostAre you guys running LiPo or NiMH batteries in these?

i know, i cant wait. i paid 159 for the rtr plus 40 for a batterry and 20 for some foams and i will be running on the carpet for like $240. im just glad to have something to do during the downtime beside coming and bothering you and slovanova from prepping your trucks to win again!! see yall tomorrow!Originally posted by Super Coupe View PostThose things look like a blast. Last Thursday they had a whole class of them racing.
EDIT: i installed the swaybar kit on the slash last night, i hope it makes some kind of difference. i wont have any time to "test and tune" before thursday
did you get one yet?
Lipos on my 4x slash, and like super coupe said, i can run the 2 qualifiers (6mins each)without recharging. plus they run the truck faster, and have more punch. they make a very visable difference over the nihm'sOriginally posted by jw33 View PostAre you guys running LiPo or NiMH batteries in these?

If you don't have anything going for the next couple of days. Check out the 2011 Fuel Offroad Nationals from LiveRC.com! They have a free video feed. Or you pay for a yearly membership to watch a low res constant feed. Or you can get an All Access Pass that has a HD feed that is almost like watching ESPN. Pretty cool to see the top guys in the hobby battle it out.

i installed new rpm shock towers, body mounts, new wheels and tires, replaced 2 slightly bent a-arms, attached an outerwears, reset the camber and toe, ride height and added the sway bar kit. i cant wait until i run worse than last week after dumping that time/coin! see yall tonight kyle and derek.
