If a laptop is returned for any reason, they have to be reconditioned and sold as refurb. Doesn't mean anything was wrong with it, but it can't be sold as new.

I've bought several refurb electronics and never had an issue.

Yeah, I agree that 15.6" is more than enough. On your message, just now saw it. That system has a decent processor, but again it's let down by using the integrated video card. It may be a little faster than your current one, but not by much.

The Samsung I posted has a better processor, more memory, bigger hard drive, and an ATI Radeon GPU. Overall it's a better system in every way, and should handle high def video without any issues.

That's the problem with Fry's, their deals are usually great, but they sell out of stuff constantly. You can try calling up the closest store to you and see what they say.

Regardless, we've shown you that you can buy a much better laptop for your money. I would return your current one, save your pennies, and keep an eye out for a great deal.

Most computers will come with an existing manufacturer's warranty. How long that warranty is will vary by manufacturer, but most of them are for 12 months.

I never purchase a seperate warranty, but fixing computers is something I've been doing for 15 years now, so if something breaks I'll fix it myself.
