    If you go with RIA I would get the tactical or get the Citadel, they are only a couple $ more and have
    Adjustable sights and tac trigger and hammer. They are made in the same factory.

    I fondled a few of those Remingtons at the market Hall gun show. Not bad. The fit and finish look good and the have a couple of subtle, but effective custom touches.

    I had very similar criteria when I bought mine.

    I liked the Springfield Armory Range Officer so I bought it. Good accuracy from a reliable manufacturer but didn't have all the custom features.

    It's a basic GI model that has a match grade trigger & barrel with target sights. It has been flawless and dead accurate for me after ~700 rounds. Some of it the evil steel cased stuff.

    If you're looking for something real cheap like under $500 then you need to be looking at Citadel, Rock Island Armory, Springfield GI, and Metro Arms 1911's.
