I figured out the perfect solution for everyone worried about carrying Condition 1! Today while cleaning guns, I was throwing out those new pistol locks they give you with every new pistol. Just put a pistol lock on your conceal carry pistol and no worries about it going off at all! You can have a loaded magazine inserted too. You can draw it and use it for intimidation and everything! And with that lock on it, you'll never have to worry about it going off all on it's own..... even if you can't keep your finger off the trigger! It's a win, win, win for everyone scared to carry condition 1.

If anyone needs a spare pistol lock so they can feel safe while carrying, I'll be happy to sell you one for a really great deal.

I usually say loaded or unloaded.
I think condition 1 is round in the chamber, hammer down (safety off?); condition 2 is round in the chamber, hammer up; and condition 3 is no round in the chamber.

Wait, is it "do whatever it takes to get comfortable," or "carry condition1 or don't carry"? Because you've now said both, amirite?

I flip flop between an Alien Gear Holster and a kydex holster from Blade Tech I picked up at Frisco Gun Club. The Alien Gear holster will actually work with any of my Glocks (23,27,29,30).

Why do people carry, Chuck? Because one day your life or the life of a loved one may depend on it. So, why then would you carry condition 2 or 3 or without ammo or use a visual deterrent and let the bad guy have an advantage on you? Do you think that a few seconds isn't an advantage to the bad guy? Why not just carry a cell phone and rely on 911 instead? Do seconds matter? Do minutes? Okay if they matter, then you carry Condition 1. If you aren't comfortable carrying condition 1, you do whatever it takes to get comfortable if you are going to carry. It's that simple.

When the stabbing or shooting starts, are you going to call time out to load your weapon or chamber a round? I'm not.

Go read any story about bad guy vs. good guy. The bad guy always has an advantage because he knows his intent. You don't. You have to react to his actions. If his intent is nefarious carrying is good, but carrying in other than condition 1 just gives the bad guy more time. I don't know about you, but I'm not one to give the bad guy more time when my life or my families may count on my actions.

If you think time doesn't matter maybe you and I can play with paintball guns someday. I start in condition one, you start in Condition 3. I bet after 3 or 4 shots in the nuts, you change your mind.
You're preaching to the choir and still totally not getting my point.

    I chose this brand...

...I wanted Kydex and a person I trust recommended it. That was 5 years ago or so with no problems.

There are probably 100s of companies that make quality products though.

    My pjholster.com RH 30 degree IWB holster works like a champ for my g19 gen4, g23 gen3, and g23 gen4.

However, my fault at the time was cheap holsters. I have no issues with a loaded gun now utilizing better holsters that hold the gun in place and keep the trigger covered.

IMO, if you have a good holster - you have no worries. The only time I worry is when dropping my drawers to dump in a public restroom.

    Conditions were invented in 2008.
