Everything you said (except for the last sentence) is true. Of course the odds are greater that you would get into a bike wreck. That still doesn't make it any better if a cop bust down my door. You don't have to be doing dope or anything illegal to have them bust in. With the new law, my grandma could be sitting there watching TV and they could bust her door in and beat her ass and there wouldn't a damn thing she could do about it. I don't want to increase that risk.

I had a pig drag us out of the car one night after 12hrs on the road coming home from FL. He felt that since we were heading into TX from FL that we were transporting drugs from Cuba. He kept telling me that since the bolts on my engine had been removed/replaced (I had done a cam swap and a shit ton of other stuff to it) that I was hiding drugs in my intake. I told him he was full of shit and his oinker buddies came along and pulled everything out of my trunk and set it on the decklid to dig though it. Scratched the shit out of my truck/roof and then threw everything back in the trunk and fucked with us some more.

The dumbasses passed over the gallon of white lightning in the jug and the three fingers we had in a backpack. But they sure were set on me having drugs in my intake. Kept threatening to take it to the yard and tear the engine down.

Like I'm always saying, one of the worst problems with society is lack of respect for others. I bet if that cop had respected you and not tore your shit up, then you woudln't have had such a problem with him. Instead, he gave other cops a bad name.

Just because it hasn't happened to me yet doesn't mean I should be foolish enough to think it won't. That same logic can be applied to wearing a helmet or even a seatbelt. I have never been injured in a wreck, yet I'm required by law to do so. So, does that mean it won't happen and I shouldn't be worried about it?

I haven't had my door kicked in, but if they are allowed to do it and get away with it, then that increases the likelyhood that it may happen.
