The uniqueness in this pairing as that daily each of them break the law both on and off the job. With Brent's constant drunkeness off the job, and Eric's love of underage women, the two are always spending time with the local shrink (Leah), and the internal affairs officer who's just begging for a way to fire them (Steve).

I'd be the "too old for this shit" black captain cop, who lets these two run free, and supports their unique ways, only because i trust them to get the job done.

Brent and eric would be my top detectives, who cross the line more times than not, but always get the bad guy. There isn't a good/bad cop out of the two. It's more bad/bad cop.

Imagine brent as a hard ass, shit talking cop, with a bad attitude, and a drinnking problem, a cross between tommy gavin (dennis leary) in rescue me, but as a cop, and john mcclain(bruce willis) in die hard 2-forever.

Eric is more the witty banter cop, but crosses the line more times than he should, a cross between hank moody (david duchovny) in californication, but as a cop, and cash (kurt russell) in tango and cash...
