Video recorded at a bus stop near the seen, as witnesses talk about the killers. Smart bus driver.
One of the comments made on the video:
"Who do you call when the police are murdering someone?"

There is a difference between supervision and leadership. A supervisor rules through threat of discipline, a real leader leads by example.

(places that really save lifes) i have received? fukin none. except when i drive by and see it and can tell me kids i built that. officers don't do anything heroic... they do their job, nothing else. you shouldn't need recognition if your an officer. your recognition is going home with a clear conscience of knowing you went home doing your job to the best of your ability.
Employees need positive reinforcement. A pat on the back for a job well done is good for morale.
I signed up to do good, but when you save a live and risk your own, it's not a common trait.
Quotes like "Uncommon valor was a common virtue" are great for a reason.

When an officer does something heroic, he/she better damn well recieve recognition.

That Chris Rock stuff is gold.
As a Field Training Officer, I once trained a female officer that seemed to have no real drive for the job. So, one day I flat out asked her why she was here. She was confused, and I asked her "why exaclty did you become an officer?" I was expecting the old Boy Scout answer : to catch bad guys, to help people, etc...
Her response was "I've already been in retail, I was a waitress, I was 29 and still living at home and thought it was time for a real job." I wanted to kick her out of the car.
