Well from the number of people on the bus, it's 5 matching counts of witnesses sharing their experience of one single incident that took place at the exact same place and time that the beating took place.

By process of elimination and default .... and common sense, I can deduce that the person they are referring to is indeed the same homeless man that passed away. Unfortunately, based on what witnesses said on the bus surveilance tape, the involved party was busy being in a coma to give his side of the story. Apparently because his face was bashed into a curb a handful of times within the first few minutes of their altercation.

I have no doubt his initial shuffle on the ground with the cops after he ran from them included some resistance... but after a few good licks to the brain he wasn't resisting...he was fighting for his life...and they called it resistance which is why they kept on. Officers aren't supposed to give up, they're supposed to gain control over a situation and they controled this one to death.
