You see someone failing to keep up with the rest of traffic up or clumsily swerving, sure enough, it's dumbfuck on a cell phone. When coming up on an intersection and you stop, then creep for 20 cars. Sure enough it's dumbfuck who has no sense of perception because they're pecking away on a cell phone, but they're smrt!
The number one cause of crashes is not speed or drunk driving, but inattentiveness. That means, dumbfuck on a cell phone. It's not just annoying. Dumbfucks on a cell phone are also a hazard.

Then let's outlaw Middle Easterners, Asians, women, and Hispanics. They are a hazard too. Some people are hazardous drivers with or without cell phones. I've never once caused an accident, ran someone off the rpad, etc. I maintain awareness and my lane. Get over it, you sniveling bitch.

Why should their inabilities strip you of your right to call someone when driving? What happens if you're waiting on a call from your wife for an emergency, etc? Ever use your phone for navigation? With or without this law those same people can still be pulled over and ticketed. Failure to maintain a lane is against the law. Driving too close behind someone is against the law. Speeding, and running stop lights are both against the law. See what we're saying here? The current law does not prevent any of these idiots from getting tickets. But, this law does allow them to ticket you from driving your vehicle within all these constraints.

As I said, I am not paranoid enough to care. I know people in DC, MD and NY and not once have they been pulled over and ticketed for allegedly using their cell phones in an illegal manner.

I am as well as everyone else I've seen on the road. I have never seen one person that I've seen using a cell phone be completely alert to their surroundings. I refuse to use a cell phone while driving because I don't feel like I'm in as much control as I can be. I like to know what's going on around me. I pretty much feel like that is my obligation while driving. I am not from the East Coast therefore, no. I am not. You ever driven in DC? I challenge you to do so, navigate their roads, and then get back to me if the dumbfucks there, who actually live there, drive around like they're lost, deserve to use a cell phone when behind the wheel of a moving vehicle.
