I work for a living, my job entails driving around on a phone (yes, my job actually requires me to be on a phone whilst driving a vehicle) and my responsibilities directly correlate. I've been driving and talking for... ~10 years now, and I've never had an accident. So, me being someone who CAN walk and chew bubblegum, don't group me in with those idiots you describe. And I'm sure and the hell not okay with losing MY rights because they are irresponsible. I am not.

If you mean you text while you drive and you think you aren't irresponsible, you can't be farther from the truth. It's the same thing as driving next to someone with a high BAC. I don't care as much when there are those who are talking while using their cell phones, but the concept of texting while driving can go to hell. Ban that shit everywhere.
