I see more and more people breaking from the sheeple mindset as democracy continues to fall apart and maybe something will happen then. Who knows.
I have come to the conclusion that any kind of good-intentioned government will fail if the people will put up with corruption.

And that is what we are seeing. We're all fucked.

Smaller credit markets, massively smaller number of users of credit. Al P's right, the system is quite flawed, but a return to the gold standard is impractical and, for all intents and purposes, impossible.

Um well I'm sorry that apparently you shit your brains out this morning bronco. It is kind of funny/sad how you had nothing left after I called your bluff. I'm college educated, almost 30 and married with a kid so I don't quite fit your hipster profile. I will be sure to call your mommy commending your efforts to carry on a big boy debate. I'll hop on the computer later and educate you on American economic history if you like.

In a nut shell our government decides to use our tax dollars and have the federal reserve print money, which devalues the rest of the money out there, in order to bail their corporate friends out of trouble for making very, very bad decisions and nothing really changes to prevent it from happening again nor is anyone held responsible. Atleast that's the part I agree with...

The average gdp growth was higher before the Fed, even with the larger depressions averaged in.

Fiat currency just doesn't work. lol
It works just fine for crooks.

I agree with the some of the ideas that the Fed has too much power. But going back to the gold standard or some other horseshit where credit can dry up on a whim is insane. As I said, I don't know what the middle ground is. I can tell you it isn't a process where Congress gets to decide anything to do with monetary policy though, which is what that fat ass cocksucker Barney Frank would love to do.

I love that picture of the kids with the list after list of excuses. The kids who are out busting their asses working for what they want aren't on there, I wonder why that is? Oh they don't have time for crybaby bullshit.

Those people are a fucking joke. I have absolutely no sympathy for people with money problems.

99% Where the fuck do they get this figure from? I am 24, purchased my first house at 22/23 and have enough in my savings to feel comfortable if something happened. (not really - I will never feel comfortable lol). I did this all with a kid and paying child support, working two jobs and landed a good job as a result of my hard work. Give me a break...

Everyone has their own struggles, or financial obstacles but you just don't pull over onto the median and kick your tire for the rest of your life. If you do, you will stay there.

One of my weaknesses is keeping my mouth shut when people around me vent their money problems.

The solution to that is what? Higher taxes to the government? Wealth redistribution in the name of "fairness"? None of those things do a single thing to cure the situation. But they sure do give the government more power. They sure do add to the nanny state that we live in.

We don't need any more government interference in the name of "regulating" anything or making anything "fair". They can't even balance the fucking budget for God's sake, what sane person would advocate the government having any more power or giving them one more cent to spend? Only an idiot would.
