arrest warrants are in a system, immigration status is not. I'm not in here to say that it's right, simply answering a the OP's question.

I split up with a gal who I was living with and was too busy with work to take time to find a place so I lived in a hotel for a while. Well along came Katrina and suddenly the hotel was at 100% occupancy and they were all low life's with nothing but time on their hands. One morning around 2 or 3 am I hear screaming coming from the parking lot and pulled on a pair of sweats to go check it out. I found a mulatto male slapping the crap out of some white gal just outside of my door. I watched for a moment and when he balled up his fist to hit her I hooked his arm and pulled him back while calmly saying that I thought that she had had enough. The guy flips out and starts in on me. I dropped him a few times but he would come to the moment his ass hit the ground and he finally got in a hit on my nose when I pulled back about 1/4 too short. I don't know what the dude was on but I had enough at that point and grabbed a stainless wall brush out of my truck and beat the hell out of him and I was still swinging when DPD pulled into the parking lot. They did the whole walk backwards towards the sound of my voice thing and had me cuffed in the back of the squad car shortly after that. The hotel manager saved my ass by showing the cops the security tape and telling them that I was a good guy; when the officers came back they were laughing their asses off and said that what I did looked like the Rodney King beating and they cut me lose. In hindsight I should have broken the guys arm instead of boxing with him but I did not expect that kind of response from him.

Needless to say I will not interfere with a domestic assault again unless someones life is at stake.
