I've never heard of any bar or restaurant having a drink limit.

I've only seen one place that really did, and they had a 2 drink limit. The owners wife was killed by a drunk driver and the story is on the back of the menu.

You should be able to refuse the entire package. I had an ex get busted for DUI. She was very upset at the time, and failed the field sobriety test. She passed the breathalyzer and a blood draw at the station but still got stuck with the DUI charge.

A person cannot be booked for DUI based solely on the FST? The officer doesnt have to allow you to prove your innocence by letting you to give blood or do a breathalyzer exam. It would then be your word against the State...and we all know how that ends up.

It's not like the officer "allows" you to blow. It is always requested.

You need to carefully read what Exlude posted, you'd still spend thousands of dollars proving you aren't drunk if you fail the field sobriety test. Which is the reason why people refuse to take it. I would never take it even if I was stone cold sober because I am at the mercy of one person's opinion. That person could be a complete idiot for all I know.

I guess I didn't make it clear, I would rather have them pull blood, than be subject to an objective field sobriety test. Hopefully a blood test of 0.00 negates the need for a lawyer, but maybe not.

The one time that I was stupid enough to be in this position, I blew, and blew a .09. I was compliant and respectful the entire time, and I guess that I was fortunate that the responding officers valued my future/their paperwork more than their DUI count. Also realizing that I was 5 miles from home.

From what I'm hearing, it could have gone much much worse.
