Mods/Admins: Who is posting the "mikecwantsdickpics" tag? Second thread I've seen it in and am curious.

One of the top threads in the political forum right now. Hilariously terrifying.

I'd rather them pull clean blood, then spend thousands on a lawyer to prove my innocence.

You should be able to refuse the entire package. I had an ex get busted for DUI. She was very upset at the time, and failed the field sobriety test. She passed the breathalyzer and a blood draw at the station but still got stuck with the DUI charge.

El Chico vs. Poole set precedence leading to the Dramshop laws in Texas, establishing that personal accountability doesn't mean shit, and the liability falls on the bar owner, not the drinker. The law is so screwy, that a minor who drinks in a bar and gets injured by their own intoxication can turn around and sue the bar for their own stupidity.

Trudy's in Austin will only let you have two mexican martinis before they cut you off. There's about 8 ounces of liquor in each one. The fucked up thing is that you can drink 1, drink as many beers as you want, but if you have a 2nd mexican martini, they cut you off at that point.

Since you are pulling the statistic card, where are yours showing that the majority of drunk drivers come from restaurants, hotels, and homes?

Also, most restaurants that I have seen have a limit on how many drinks you can order. On that note, there is another way to limit drunk drivers, a drink limit at bars. Three drink limit anywhere they serve alcohol unless you can prove that you have a designated driver.

Personally, I have never set foot in a bar and the extent of my drinking is two beers while watching football. I have been through a DUI checkpoint and I didn't like it one bit.

Hold up, you initially said "No, but you have to admit that the majority of drunk drivers come from bars", then I said "provide me some studies" as in something factual that backs up your statement that shows what you're saying "majority of drunks drivers come from bars" has any substance. Of the places I listed where people drink I never said that is where the majority of the drunk drivers come from, I was simply pointing out that there are a LOT more places other than bars that people consume alcohol and become impaired. You really seemed to be fixated on the bar theme with your responses and that's why I made the follow up response that I did. I don't know the percentages, no clue, but I would be very surprised if there was that big of a gap between drunks at a bar versus drunks anywhere else except at the bar.
