Not gonna lie. I would be nervous as fuck, especially with kids in tow. You would be so distracted trying to look after them and look over your shoulder, having fun anywhere outside of the resort property would be tough.

Sounds like you found your trip....
Maybe...still waiting to pull the trigger.

Passports were $45 a couple of years ago.

I would definitely be talking to a real travel agent, not a bunch of boring brokedicks on DFWM.
Now that Americans are hardcore Cartel targets, they're hurting for tourism and pricing vacations CHEAP.

Probably more in Corpus than Port A though.
He's built a few others that are in Corpus, and still on the island. I'd have to get the names of them, but most are on SPID after the turn to head to Port A.

They are called, Beach Breeze, Breezeways of Encantada, The Marquesas, and Palm Bay Village.

I think all of the sites have been taken down since construction finished on them, and all of them have been sold. But if you're ever headed down there looking for a condo to rent, let me know and i'll get you the info for rentals, and if you mention him i'm sure they'll give you a deal

But here are the Pirate's Bay condos he's currently still building, but there are already people who have bought them and have them in the rental pool down there.

My old man builds condos and townhouses near the beach in Corpus Christi and Port Aransas. I can give you the rental agent's info.
