Your opinion about serving ones country in a time of war is a little hard for me, and I'm sure other combat veterans to cope with since I'm assuming you know nothing about combat OR what it takes to be a warrior. It's difficult for a veteran to justify all the inhumane actions that come along with war. Instead of totally loosing our minds, veterans validate their combat actions with a false since of selfworth. But until you've been shot at or have taken a life, you'll never understand the day to day struggles within each and every combat veteran. I know that I've stood in the face a death and pushed forward, that at least counts for something.
And, there hasn't been a million Marines with the MOS designator of 0321. When you've put it in the sweat, blood and tears it takes to proudly call yourself a Reconnaissance Marine, then you can talk. But until that day, you are just talking out of your ass.

Sent while dropping a deuce!
i tend to give anyone who has served the benefit of the doubt for two main reasons. One is because of my gratitude for their service and the second is that i havent served so what the hell do i know. but with that being said, many times there are guys that are so ridiculous in their behavior, they remove all doubt
That is the cardinal rule of arguing with anyone that has an inflated sense of self worth. Fact is, everything Matt has done has been done by a million other drones in this world who spew the same bullshit he does every chance they get just to feel important.

I know I know. And I was stuffed into lockers daily, beat up, had my bags thrown on top of the school, never raised my fist in anger. Yellow all the way
Bingo. Better be careful though. Next thing you know Matt will be accusing you of not playing contact sports, then your reputation will just be shattered for life.
Oh, I was the president of the library club and on the Academic Decathlon. I was FAR from contact sports

It's usually the guys with massive inferiority complexes that are former military that you see this from. It is their way of saying "I can't refute anything you said, so I'll just pretend like I'm better than you!" not the first time I've seen it from some random dumbass on this forum, and I'm sure it won't be the last. Any respectable former military would NEVER say something so remarkably dense and obtuse.
I view it the same way I view the race card. If you have to fall back on it, you already lost.

Fucking goddamn it. I also forgot the cardinal rule of arguing with former military: If you haven't been in the service your opinion is immediately less valid. Any time Matt would like to put his families military history against mine, I'll be more than happy to oblige him. It won't be a pretty sight.
I was also looking through the DFWMustangs Moderator Hand Book that Tyler gave us and I didn't see anywhere where it specifies that we are to conduct ourselves in a different manor than my fellow brethren...
