how do you know he had that stuff? have we seen picture of his duty belt? i dont carry a taser. ive had mace for 9+ years and have used it once and that was on a possum. a baton isnt something i would use at someone that is charging me. simply put the pistol was already in play because he was giving the guy commands with it. once its in play its hard to put back up while being rushed...

Okay, assuming no backup or radio, he still has a baton, pepper spray and a taser, all of which should have been employed before that pistol cleared it's holster

you are assuming this campus police officer had a radio that wasn't just a talk around. hate to break it to most of you but campus police aint exactly run like a traditional police department. some dont have dispatch service and can only talk to each other. some only have one police officer on duty at a time. i would venture to guess response time if he were able to get through to an outside agency would be over 15 minutes. hell i have been in a fight on the side of 35 next to aac and put out an assist and it took my backup over 7 min to get to me. thats the middle of downtown dallas...

Last time I tried calling in, a guy in a wheelchair was for some reason, lying on the side of the road spinning his chair wheels and looking up at the sky, they told me I wasn't in the county. Then I had to engage in a 20 minute discussion on maps and county lines and yes I'm sure I'm in the county.

What are police response times for citizen calls vs a call from another officer? Do they respond to both equally as quickly?

I wish. He was pretty cool about the whole "side of the road" thing but I didn't trust him not to have someone in the woodline to take the car with me there so I didn't get out. I had the kiddo with me so safety first.

I am using your own logic (if there is any) against your argument, not the other way around.

One minute you say you have swift like reflexes and you can assess a threatening situation in a split second and react as needed, then out of the same strike of the keyboard you will say if someone is on your property you will shoot them. You can't have swift like assessing skills and then spurt out of your mouth how you will shoot someone on your own property if they look to be a threat or not.

Detaining doesn't have shit to do with this, so I don't know why you brought it up.
