Copycat! Where are you going? I finished mine with diag cert last year at UNT. If you need anything, let me know.Originally posted by Venom View PostI'm working on mine in SPED with a diagnostician certification.
Hmmm, this idea sounds vaguely familiar.Originally posted by Kimmypie View PostCool. Thanks for the info! Definitely will look into this. I create curriculum & stuff all the time using technology & paper based methods. Sounds interesting!
I've been interested in this field for quite a while, just not sure how to get into it since I've always been in education. I'm curious, would one need to know about software or the product in order to get on with a company like that or is just educating on procedures, etc..?Originally posted by Roscoe View PostAlso - btw, any software company has a training department. They typically travel to the client site, but they train the new clients on how to use their software. My company just hired a "learning specialist" to help augment our training staff... I'll see if I can find the job description and PM it to you for a review.

I got my MBA a few years ago and did learn a lot. It is a lot of good info on managing and on even owning your own business. I feel like I learned more in my MBA then my undergrad but part of this is probably because I was more mature and actually tried. I got a MID (masters in industrial distribution) about a year ago and learned a ton from it. I am a manufacturers sales rep and have been offered a higher position but would have to move to St. Louis and don't want to make the move. Since I got the last degree I've had a lot of offers making quite a bit more than I am currently at but because of a new baby I'm sitting still for now.

I'm working on my Masters in Systems Engineering through the Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals program. I don't "need" it right now, but it will help for a promotion in a couple of years.
My undergrad is in Electrical Engineering and I work in the defense industry... specifically counter Radar stuff. Unfortunately I'm up in the North East, but after I'm done with school I plan on moving back to Texas.
