Whats everyone's vacation plans this summer?

Well I was going climbing in the Wichita Mountains over Labor Day weekend but my nephew is getting baptized so that will have to be rescheduled. My wife and I discussed a short trip to Miami sometime but we'll see.

and I'll likely drive over to lake Tahoe for a long weekend a time or two this summer.

We'll be on the Mayan Riviera at the end of July (south of Playa del Carmen), and I'll likely drive over to lake Tahoe for a long weekend a time or two this summer. I'll probably come home to DFW for Christmas this year, but I don't suppose that any of you would consider that to be a vcation.

Headed down to Corpus and Port Aransas at the end of May. Probably take a staycation for a week in August and work on the house. I've been traveling so much for the last 2 years I need a vacation from vacations. Next Feb I'm hoping to hit Carnival in Rio.

Disney World first of June. Driving there and back. Stopping in nawlins, Destin, and Don garlits museum in Ocala fl.

I love Ocala. Not sure why, really. It is beautiful down there. That's race horse country.


I'll make a couple short 2-3 day trips to Jax Beach, but that is all I'll be doing this year. As a rule, we aren't allowed to take vacation from July-October. I did take one during that time frame last year, so I need to keep a low profile this year. Hopefully in another year or so I'll be able to do what I want, when I want.

4 and 11. I was looking at funjet.com at 6 nights. I found the best deal leaving early June so I think I need to get the passports expidited.

We fucked up and didn't go together to get the passport when I was just home. I just mailed off a consent and absentee waiver yesterday. It won't even get there for a week for my wife to go start the process.

Punta Cana was up on my list but shot down.
