I got one in my Cobra years back since "it sounded like it was going fast" according to the cop.

Could have been alot worse though......my buddy apparently decided that at 4am he would take his toy up and over the tallest sand dune. The cop politely informed him that it was a felony and he could confiscate his shit and he would have a $5000 fine. He got lucky and ended up with a $650 fine.

if I would have gotten a "no seatbelt" violation, we wouldnt be having this conversation. I have no problem admitting guilt when guilty. Had PLENTY of speeding tickets when i was younger and was guilty of all of them......and was glad that the a few cops were cool and gave me a few mph off as im sure you can relate. This was honestly a bunch of bullshit though.

He admitted here, but not necessarily in person. Hard to get a wallet out when you're belted. And is a seat belt required offroad or on a beach?

Ok, just for shits and giggles and to see if I actually was going over 15, I just took the jeep across the pasture until i hit 15mph and then i hit the creek washout by the house...............yeah, so i just fucking blew a wall of muddy water 10 feet high over the top of the jeep and soaked the shit out of it.

    This concludes my test. lol

Now im gonna pull some drain plugs and hose it out.

    you'd be wrong.

trust me, at 15 mph or more, it blows a wall of water over the top of my jeep and right on into the cab. Learned this a long time ago. Plus, we were going slow enough to make sure we didnt run off into any deep spots.

The pictures are perfect for defending me. Was talking to a buddy and we r going to take a few pics to show what it would have looked like had I been going 15. You wouldnt have seen my jeep

The washout was deep in a few spots so we would zig zag back and forth in it splashing around. anyway, long story short, i play for about 2 minutes and turn around to go park. by the time i am parking a galveston cop lights me up. he doesnt do the normal "do you know why i stopped you" routine. This little fella is a hispanic gent that is maybe 25 and very wet behind the ears He just walks up and gets my insurance and liscense.......here is how our interaction went after waiting about 10 minutes:

Cop: sign here this is not an admissions of guilt.....blah blah blah

Me: You are seriously giving me a ticket?

Cop: This is public land and the speed limit is 15 mph

Me: Oh, so you had a radar and clocked me going over 15?

    Cop: no

Me: so we are just going off of your wild ass guess on my speed? we were playing in the washout and there is no way i got over 10!

    Cop: Well i could go ahead and write you a ticket for no seatbelt (this i was guilty of......in and out of the jeep all day with no doors on the jeep.....didnt wear a belt}

me: no dude, i know how this works and i cant win so just give me the ticket

Cop: do you have any more questions

Me: Not at all Mr Crime Fighter! Keep fighting these awful crimes you are doing an excellent job!

    Thus endeth the exchange

So....I got excessive speed in the washout.

I have zero problems handling any and all tickets i have ever received in the past, but this is plain old horse shit.
    See my above post.

    His testimony is the proof.

Either I'm not understanding what you are arguing, or you are wayyyy off base.

You don't have to write every violation you see. That's a chicken shit way of policing.
