I know exactly how its gonna turn out cuz im gonna pay $110 and do the damned defensive driving video. Talked to my buddy that is a local detective and he filled me in on Galveston and told me to not even waste my time fighting it.......said that no way in hell the dickheads over there would dismiss it.Originally posted by NorthwoodDavid View Post^for the record, I think it's a shitty ticket. I have wanted to fight a couple tickets myself but always run out of time by procrastinating haha
So once again, i will bendover and take it up the tailpipe.

If you fight it he will simply lie in court saying he clocked you at (insert speed here), or say how reckless you were. Guaranteed he took note of you being a smartass and will gladly tell the judge you were being a belligerent asshole.

The only reason most aren't is because 1) the expense tied with DOT testing and 2) release mechanism, with street belts you push the button and it releases no matter the tension on the belt, with a 5 point sometimes they can "hang up" but the way around that is to wiggle around a bit to release tension on the buckle. I have to do that with the belts in my race car to get them to release, but it doesn't take me long at all. Pull release, wiggle shoulders up and down and I'm out of them. Given the type of car I'm in my belts are always super tight so that may be a factor.Originally posted by Jmd View Postlmao! cited for a 5 point harness because it wasnt DOT approved. Id lay odds that a 5pt harness is well above and beyond the safety regulations for passenger restraints
