The statute of limitations for a Class C is 2 years. If the cop wanted to be a mega-prick, after the trial he could mail you a ticket for no seat belt for up to two years after the offense.

It blows my mind that more cops arent just shot in the back of the head while sitting in their cars eating a snack. i know of very few people that havent had a bad encounter with a cop flexing his authority. Hate to be wearing a badge the day the US starts to crumble.

I would sit in court over it. You can ask him.....How did you determine my speed to be excessive and excessive to what? When he answers remind him that he denied "clocking" you with "radar". So what type of training do you get to judge speed? Is it like a magical power you are granted when you graduate to Beach Patrol?
