  • Hmmm...... Holding information....

    • Rreemo..

Only big thing I found was an AD for wire chaffing behing the wall aft of the 2nd Observer.. Understand there were 2 incidences of smoke (other Carrier). Wires repositioned and shielded, good to go..
Like "Beefed" said, on the ground you had to have 2 electrical supplies to keep the a/c powered up. Uses the "old style" batteries, so no overheating/fire problems.

A300-600R was hell for smoking contacts and relays.. a real electric chicken! Have to say it was the easiest bird I worked on "Systems" wise.. Coneheads hated it!!

If you want to keep a secret, you don't tell everyone that you have a secret.

What info could be so sensitive that it needs to be withheld?

That their pilot killed all those people and they are liable?

            Kinda what I was thinking.

My dad and I disucussed this a couple weeks prior and his first comment was, "It's gonna take them forever to find that plane. Transponder turned off? That pilot locked the crew out of the cockpit or he killed them, flew the plane out into the middle of nowhere and let it nosedive. They found that French plane because the pilots stalled it and it belly-flopped into the water in one piece. Easier to find it that way. I bet that Malaysia plane hit the water at terminal velocity and probably damn near straight down. It'll take a miracle to find it anytime soon."

I tend to think he might be right. At this point that's the scenario that makes sense.

I've been thinking nearly the exact same thing. And to add to it, unless the pilot was also dead or unconscious, who's to say he didn't nosedive that thing way before they ran it out of fuel? They keep looking for debris where it "should have" run out of fuel but if the pilot was fully aware of what he was doing he most likely flew that plane into the ocean way before it was out of fuel.

Their determination is based on the inmarsat's I-3 satellite beam angle from last known transmission. Search area extends from there.

                • A suicidal pilot is plausible, and if that's the case, then withholding any evidence that supports that only makes a bad situation worse when the truth comes out. News like that doesn't stay buried, ESPECIALLY if they are already telling the world that they are withholding something.

                  • Big picture here, the Chinese were testing out a electronics jamming system on the most modern piece of American aviation available. Using a stealth craft or satellite in orbit they intercepted the plane, jamming communications and forcing the plane off path feeding the onboard computer false telemetry. they sent false signals to determine if they could deceive the pilots and the on board computers

It is the most plausible explanation, suicidal pilot on that scale would have crashed it into an object. Suicide is a selfish cry for help valuing your own life higher than those around you left to cope with losing you.

However if the Chinese could take It off course and fly it where it would never be found, they could verify all of their weaponry. Either that or the north Koreans shot it down with one of their long range missiles

                            • My theory is Colonel Stuart and other members of his unit set up a base in an old church on a remote island near the Indian ocean. Their goal was to intercept the plane and rescue General Ramon Esperanza, a drug lord and the dictator of Val Verde, who is being extradited to Malaysia to stand trial on drug trafficking charges.
