I've owned a handful of cars since 87...a 79 4.4 liter Monte Carlo, 82 Regal V6, 83 Supra, 83 T-Type Regal, 85 Grand National, 87 Buick Turbo T Regal, 94 Trans Am GT, 85 Chevy Silverado, 98 GMC Sierra Z71 SLE, and an 85 Honda Prelude.

NOTHING....and I do mean NOTHING compares to that POS dual carbed, computer controlled 85 Honda Prelude. Worst car I've ever owned by FAR. Hell....when I took it to Honda to resolve some issues even THEY didn't want to touch it. They had a separate price book which was different from all the other cars they worked on. WORST THING HONDA EVER produced.

I replaced that Escort with a Chevy Tracker 2wd. It too was somewhat ugly, and that was really my only issue with it. If it was 4wd I probably would have considered keeping it and making it a toy like people do with the Samurai.

Exactly like this, but without the graphics on the sides:

The wife and I leased a new 1994 Pontiac trans-port van. It was the worst piece of shit i've ever owned. The engine knocked and overheated on hot days, the radio illuminated when it wanted to, the driver's door was tweaked so bad that when I took it in to the dealer to have it fixed under warranty they asked me who did the bodywork from the wreck that it didn't have, and last but not least, the nifty sliding door that would open and close when you pushed a button became erratic and would open/close when it felt like it. There were all kinds of mysterious electrical gremlins, and to add insult to injury the factory delco battery took a shit early.

When the lease was up at 36,000 miles I could not wait to turn it back in and walk away from it.

What did you regret about it, out of curiosity?

I prefer to buy a used car with some issues than a new one. I also do my research before purchasing a used vehicle.
